I just recently bought a SNES reproduction controller with a USB port for my Nintendo emulators. Then I got to thinking; wouldn't it be great if I could use it on Grim Fandango in ResidualVM. It does after all have more of a console-type of gameplay. I'm aware that ResidualVM doesn't support controllers, but then I found another post on this forum where someone had written a scrip to allow him to play Grim using an xbox controller.

For me there's two problems with this; 1. I obviously don't have an xbox controller, and keeping in mind that I'm a complete amateur when it comes to scripting, I have no idea how to adjust it to a SNES controller. 2. It's for Linux and I'm using a PC.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone here with better knowledge of scripting could tell me how, or if, I can re-write it to suit my specifications.

(I'm sure that there are other people here who have a type of controller they'd like to use as well, so I'm pretty sure that this thread could help more people than just me, or PC users with SNES controllers that is.)

Any gamepad-to-button mapping program will do, just map the gamepad buttons to the correct keyboard buttons.
I wouldn't be surprised if your gamepad came with one.

Well, my SNES controller literally didn't come with anything but the actual controller itself. As for a "mapping program", I have no idea where to start; do you know/recommend a specific program that I could easily use?

'Joytokey' works like a charm, thanks.
