Has anyone spotted any changes in the new version of Grim Fandango? There's been some very strange things noted so far (and not mentioned anywhere by DoubleFine).

Consider Olivia's "Grim Fandango" poem reading.

Original:

Remastered:

(Yes, the camera now moves.)

Plus some minor dialogue changes have been noticed, too.

Right at the beginning, there’s a bit of dialogue:

“Manny, why aren’t you at the poisoning?”
“What poisoning?”
Yeah, the grade 3 gazpacho poisoning…”

In the Remastered it's:

“Manny, why aren’t you at the poisoning?”
“What poisoning?”
“The grade 3 gazpacho poisoning…”

There's also rumours of some of the lewder humour being trimmed -- but right now it's just a rumour.

Nice find Johnny.

I noticed that Mannys face texture is misaligned. The texture of his lower jaw/teeth doesn't align to his upper part. You can clearly see this in his idle state at the very beginning when you position many in front of his office door, just before he exits there is a nice closeup.

Is it still possible to activate good_times key? And change the background angles with alternatives?

Yes, it's a tad annoying that the textures don't always align properly anymore. It's not TOO bad, but it's noticeable.

BGBennyBoy was trying figure out how to enable the good_times key. As I understand it (and I may be misremembering) but there's a file that replaces the registry. If we could decode that, I think we could possibly enable the key again. (There's a thread in GFD where BG discusses it.)
